The classic Christmas song "The 12 Days of Christmas" is a traditional English carol that dates back to at least the 18th century. While the exact origin of the carol is unknown, one belief is that it was created to help teach children their catechism, with each of the gifts having a hidden Catholic meaning. The back of this card features those Catholic symbols for each of the twelve days.
